Kailali, 24 July/ Unified CPN Maoist has called transportation strike in Kailali district Wednesday. Maoist has called for Kailali closure protesting the use of excess police force during a demonstration Tuesday. All educational institutions, markets and transportations have been affected due to the closure. No vehicles ply the roads along the East-West Highway and in the district due to the strike. Police imposed excessive power when Maoist cadres staged demonstrations against the Minister of State for Energy Chandra Singh Bhattarai. State Minister Bhattarai was in his home-town Tikapur to inaugurate the city's second municipality council meeting. Maoist claimed more than 20 cadres were injured in the incident¿
