
Kathmandu, 25 July/The government has decided extending the term of United Nations Mission in Nepal UNMIN. A cabinet meet held yesterday decided on extending UNMIN's tenure, in order to complete the integration, administration and rehabilitation of Maoist combatants. Speaking to the journalists after the meet, Minister for Information and Communication Shankar Pokherel said the cabinet is yet to decide for how many more months UNMIN's mandate should be extended. Likewise yesterday's cabinet also appointed economist Keshab Acharya as the advisor to Finance Ministry. The meet also discussed on improving Nepal's relations with foreign countries. The meet also decided establishing Nepalese embassies in South Africa, Kuwait, Brazil and Canada. The cabinet also decided giving one million rupees to each of the family of the thirteen officers who died while putting off the blaze in Ramechhaap's Jungle two months back.¿
