CHABAHIL TENSION

Kathmandu. 24 July/Transportation services have been obstructed in various parts of capital Kathmandu due to protest against a murder of a pedestrian. Locals of Chabahil, Mitrapark, Maharajgunj and Sitapaila demonstrated against the murder of a pedestrian Deependra Khanal. 29 year old Khanal was knocked down by a passenger bus belonging to Swayambhu Yatayat in Chabahil last night. Khanal died the same night while undergoing treatment. Locals have accused the driver of being careless while driving. Friends and relatives of the deceased are protesting demanding stringent action against the driver of the bus and compensation to the family of the deceased. They have not allowed any vehicles to move in the area. Transportation services along Ring Road have been affected due to the blockade. Locals vandalised two buses belonging to Swayambhu Yatayat after the accident. Police have arrested the driver and taken the bus under their control¿
